Major Brian Parmeter is the Recruiting Officer in the Air Force Reserve Officers Training Corps, Detachment 130, Howard University, Washington, D.C. He manages and conducts all on-campus, cross-town, and local area recruiting activities to meet the Detachment and AFROTC objectives.
Major Parmeter recruits, trains, motivates and counsels highly-qualified young men and women as prospective Air Force officers.
Major Parmeter graduated from State University of New York at Farmingdale and commissioned through the U.S. Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps in May 2011 from Detachment 560, Manhattan College. He has served in various leadership and instructor roles, including assignments stateside and overseas.
Major Parmeter served in six deployments supporting multiple theaters of operations and campaigns. The Major has completed two tours to Iraq as an Air Advisor. Prior to his current position, the Major was the Dean of Students, 337th Air Control Squadron, Tyndall Air Force Base, Florida.
