Major Sean Raymond
Major Sean Raymond is the Recruiting Officer and Assistant Professor of Aerospace Studies at Howard University, Detachment 130, Washington D.C. He trains and educates the future officers of the United States Air Force and Unites States Space Force and oversees Detachment 130 recruiting efforts.
Major Raymond most recently served on the Headquarters Space Force Staff at the Pentagon as a Programmer and Budget Analyst and as the Deputy Branch Chief of Operational Training.
Major Raymond commissioned in the Air Force in 2012 out of North Carolina State University and began his career as an ICBM Operator at Minot Air Force Base, North Dakota. He began his space operations career in 2016 at Schriever Air Force Base, Colorado Springs as a GPS Satellite Vehicle Operator and then became a Crew Commander, Flight Commander, Assistant Director of Operations, and Test and Evaluations Branch Chief. Major Raymond transferred into the Space Force in 2022, and has deployed to Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar in 2025.
