Major Matthew Haase
Major Matthew Haase is the Operations Flight Commander in the Air Force Reserve Officers Training Corps, Detachment 130, Howard University, Washington, D.C. He is responsible for all facets of cadet training and discipline, including directing/supervising leadership laboratory, field training preparation, military discipline, and career guidance. He also teaches the AS300 course.
Major Haase recruits, trains, motivates and counsels highly-qualified young men and women as prospective Air Force officers.
Major Matthew Haase earned his commission in the Air Force in May 2014. His background includes aiding in the standup of the Cyber National Mission Force and various Defensive Cyber Operation missions at Air Force and Intelligence Community locations. Throughout his career, he has filled a number of roles leading teams in Mission Planning, Project Management, Training, and Operations. His assignments include bases in Texas, Florida, and Virginia. He has also supported NATO partners overseas in Tallinn, Estonia.
Prior to his current assignment, he served as a Flight Commander in the Operations Support Squadron supporting the National Reconnaissance Office, Fort Belvoir Virginia.
