Captain Matthew Haase
Captain Matthew Haase is the Recruiting Flight Commander in the Air Force Reserve Officers Training Corps, Detachment 130, Howard University, Washington, D.C. He manages and conducts all on-campus, cross-town, and local area recruiting activities to meet the Detachment and AFROTC objectives.
Captain Haase recruits, trains, motivates and counsels highly-qualified young men and women as prospective Air Force officers.
Captain Matthew Haase earned his commission in the Air Force in May 2014. His background includes aiding in the standup of the Cyber National Mission Force and various Defensive Cyber Operation missions at Air Force and Intelligence Community locations. Throughout his career, he has filled a number of roles leading teams in Mission Planning, Project Management, Training, and Operations. His assignments include bases in Texas, Florida, and Virginia. He has also supported NATO partners overseas in Tallinn, Estonia.
Prior to his current assignment, he served as a Flight Commander in the Operations Support Squadron supporting the National Reconnaissance Office, Fort Belvoir Virginia.
